"3B" tips for gym heroes

We usually value the role of protein and carbohydrate to provide energy in the muscle building process, and to maintain a healthy gym training schedule. However, Vitamins and minerals are also essential for you when you are training in the gym. The “3B” tips bring you three important vitamins that you cannot miss as a gym-er:

B3: Controlling blood sugar level

Like other group-B vitamins, Vitamin B3, other known as Niacin, releases energy from protein, carbohydrate, and fat. Vitamin B3 is involved in 60 metabolic processes in our body.

During long hours of hard and constant training, the blood veins need elasticity in order to provide enough blood and oxygen to every muscle. Vitamin B3 transforms into nicotinic acid, help controlling the blood sugar level, maintaining strong, healthy skin, the functioning of the central nervous system and digestive system.

In order to keep track of your training result through measuring the blood sugar level, you should add vitamin B3 in your intake.

B6: Move oxygen quickly to your muscles during training

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is the general name for six different substances. Discovered in the middle of the 1930s, vitamin B6 is one of the most-researched group-B vitamins. Without this vitamin, your body cannot execute even the simplest functions.

During the muscle building process, gym-ers pay close attention the protein intake in their diet. Vitamin B6 is the only vitamin that is directly related to the amount of protein. Vitamin B6 participates in over 100 enzyme reactions, most of them is for the metabolic process to absorb protein. The higher the intake of protein, the higher level of vitamin B6 you need.

Vitamin B6 helps build red blood cells, which are required to bring enough oxygen to the muscles, minimizing the chance of injury. Vitamin B6 is necessary during your training process.

B12: perfect muscle coordination

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is one of water-soluble group-B vitamins. The vitamin cannot retain in our body for the long time, thus, requires to be replenished often. Vitamin B12 is important in maintaining the function of the central nervous system, which directly controls the muscle movements and coordination. In order to optimize the smooth muscle movements, and to coordinate your body parts seamlessly, you should take vitamin B12 on a regular basis.
